Waste Neutral collects source-separated “all food” scraps (pre- and postconsumer) waste. We collect three days per week (Monday-Wednesday-Friday) in the Baltimore metro area. Our customers are mostly institutions with outsourced food service vendors and restaurants but we also service large food production companies
We also offer a flexible approach to minimize our customers effort and costs. If it is organic and compostable we will take it. This includes meat, fish, poultry, soiled napkins etc. to simplify the customers separation requirements. Additionally, while we prefer that our clients use compostable bags it is not mandatory at this time since they are screened out at the composting facility. This is important to note since in the early efforts of composting the facilities only accepted “clean”, unbagged waste which was difficult for facility staff to manage.
